As with all popular sports, Carrom is International in character and status - It is played in over 30 countries! Overseas, clubs and districts have been competing for spots in international teams for a shot at the world's best. There have been many International Championships to date - most of these tournaments played under the Laws of Carrom established by the International Carrom Federation.

Carrom Playing Countries

First World Carrom Championship First World Carrom Championship
The First World Carrom Championship was held at I.G. Indoor Stadium, New Delhi from the 9th to 12th of October 1991. Nine countries; U.S.A., U.K., Germany, Switzerland, Maldives, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Australia and India participated in the championship. Indian players won all the events. All the finals were covered live by Doordarshan television station on the Indian National Network. 
Second World Carrom Championship Second World Carrom Championship
The Second World Carrom Championship was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from the 12th to 14th October 1995. Eleven countries participated in the championship. Indian Players won all the events.
Third World Carrom Championship Third World Carrom Championship
The Third World Carrom Championship was held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi from the 6th to 10th November 2000. Fifteen countries participated in the championship.
1st Carrom World Cup 1st Carrom World Cup
The 1st Carrom World Cup was held in the U.K. on the 20-23 October 2001. It was organized under the ICF jointly with the United Kingdom Carrom Federation.
  Fourth World Carrom Championship
The Fourth World Carrom Championship was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from the 5th to 9th October 2004. See Press Release for full details.
